FJSS is committed to encouraging intellectual discourse, fostering original contributions, and supporting impactful research that addresses contemporary societal issues.
The editorial policy of FJSS emphasizes excellence, originality, interdisciplinary relevance, and societal impact. The journal welcomes empirical, theoretical, and conceptual papers that contribute to the understanding of social phenomena, promote academic debate, and offer practical insights with policy or community relevance. Preference is given to works that focus on Africa and other emerging contexts, but comparative and globally relevant research is equally encouraged.
FJSS operates a rolling submission system, with accepted manuscripts published annually. All submissions undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the highest standards of academic integrity and quality. The journal supports an inclusive academic environment and encourages submissions from both emerging and established scholars.
The Editorial Board, comprising distinguished academics and experts from diverse fields, oversees the review process, ensures ethical publishing standards, and provides strategic direction. Manuscripts are assessed strictly on academic merit, methodological soundness, and contribution to knowledge, regardless of the authors’ institutional or personal affiliations.
As part of its mission to broaden the accessibility and visibility of scholarly work, FJSS supports a digital submission and publication model, ensuring timely dissemination of research findings to both academic and non-academic audiences.
