Submission Guidelines for The FULafia Journal of Sociological Studies (FJSS)

Department of Sociology, Federal University of Lafia. It is a peer review journal set to provide
academics and researchers the avenue to publish latest research findings in their chosen fields of
studies. The Journal invites papers from the Social Sciences, Arts, Humanities, and other academic
fields whose research findings are original contributions to knowledge and are meant to impact
positively on the society.
Journal Policy

Contributors are to submit an e-copy for assessment and publication. The manuscripts should
be typeset in Times New Roman font type, 12 font size, and not exceeding twenty (20) A4 pages, 
including references double line spaced. The accepted referencing format is APA (8th edition). The
first page should contain the title of the manuscript, name(s), contact information, and affiliation
of authors. The second page should contain the title of the manuscript, the abstract, with the rest part
of the manuscript beginning with the introduction.

Assessment and Publication Fees
Submitted manuscripts will attract a non-refundable assessment fee of N5,000.00 (Five Thousand
Naira Only). Where manuscript(s) is considered publishable, authors will be required to effect
corrections in line with reviewers’ recommendation and a clean electronic copy should be submitted
for publication alongside a publication fee of N20,000.00 (Twenty Thousand Naira Only).

Submission and Deadlines
Completed papers should be sent as attachment to the Editor-in-Chief, FULafia Journal of Sociological
Studies via email address: fulafiajournalsociologicalstud@gmail.com. Submission of papers
for assessment is all year round, while publication is annually.
